I don't know if you like blues or not, but the Tampa Bay Blues Festival is May 5-7 if you guys want to come over for that. It should be mad fun. My boy will be here then. Yay!! Date: 2006-02-27 03:36 pm (UTC)you would have loved the turtles drea there were 10 of them for the turtle pond and atm there's only 3 show quality koi in the pond (it hasn't cleared up) but they'll be putting more in soon! soooo pretty
oh, and see the 2 hour special mid-march because the turtle pond will be the theme :D lots of mike and luz footage ;)

Date: 2006-02-27 04:13 pm (UTC)the next day after you guys left there was this whole fight with ed and paul and mike against preston about an "island" in the middle of the pond, the beach, etc. all on camera.
we had to drive around to look for something to make an island of because preston was insisting on it. looked everywhere, no rocks. we called him up about the turtle i spotted near the set to make a turtle island, and he didn't like it. we just said fuckit and brought back the turtle. everybody loves it. :D designers included.
dunno what preston thought about it but paul said he ended up going to the hospital because he got food poisoning.
anyways, thank you so much jen and khris for helping out that day!! couldn't have done it/would have died driving or got lost without you! we love you guys!! :D

story of how it all came to be:
- mercedes homes contacted mike about a pond for the house they're doing for the em:he show
- we gathered up folks to help out with the project and built the pond in 4 hours under extreme conditions.
- the next three days or so were spent in orlando doing random stuff in our designated area (rocks, plants, fishes, turtles, etc)
so glad that's over :)

Date: 2006-03-02 05:49 pm (UTC)but if the turtle fight airs, luz is right inside the pond shoving gravel between rocks whilst the design team and mike argues. and they kept on shooting at me while i was drenched in the darn thing so yay..more of luz being wet in the pond.

Unfortunately, we (family) are heading out to Texas next week, and then I have to be back by next Friday because *insert sacastic yay* I'm suppose to present my senior research at a conference at FIT. Although I'm not sure if I got funding from the dean here and really don't want to spend $200+ of my own money, so... we shall see what happens with that.
